Oma Stanescu graduated from primary, secondary and high schools in Buzau and Constanta, she graduated the Faculty of Economics in Iasi in 1985, along with a neo-Greek course, between 1982 and 1985. She completed her education and training in a surprising diversity.
Being in India for three and half years, she graduated courses in Hatha Yoga in India at Serampore- Calcutta, Ananda Ashram- Pondicherry, Lonavla Yoga Institute- Poona, Jain Yoga Institute Adhyatma Sadhana Kendra- New Delhi.
“The novel “Be It So” was read by us in a computer text, still unpublished. It is a shattering document for those who are thinking about the realities of our poor country towards the end of the communist era and the beginnings of the capitalist transition. The author takes her life from the beginning, telling it (in the same popular, naive, frustrating, to the highest degree, style), with disorganised families, marriages over marriages, legal or not, unsteady sexual obsession, many children, poverty, as well as in Bozioru, then to Brăila, Techirghiol, Constanţa, Bucharest, where the storyteller spends the stays in the sanatoriums and in deplorable schools…
This memoir consists of a real sequence of events from the life of some characters living in a secluded Romanian Danubian town, who strive to look different from the rest of the world. If the personages of this book manage to overcome the barriers of their own mentality and to overcome themselves, to be better than they really are, to transcend what they were, what they don’t recognize to be in the past and what they believe they are in the course of our story, if pertinent life conclusions can be drawn from the facts related here, it is up to the readers to have a say in the matter, to whom we wish a pleasant reading!
